Pavilion Popular In Airlie Beach

Apr 14th, 2007

Director Keith Richardson said it is a home that was already popular in the company's projects in the north Queensland holiday town of Airlie Beach, rapidly gaining popularity on the Gold Coast.

"The home is a model of contemporary acreage living," said Mr Richardson. It's easy to build and funky-looking, but it's also been designed to tread lightly on the earth with environmentally sensitive design features and blend with its natural surroundings."

"Its raised from the ground, which combats any flooding issues and makes it ideal for sloping sites, and it can be adapted to suit any terrain."We currently are building the home for an owner-builder in the Currumbin Valley, it's the first of the style on the Gold Coast.

The 353sq m home comprises three modules connected by breezeways and surrounded by hardwood-decked balconies. It has a Colorbond roof with three gables, skillion parapets to the breezeways and feature work on the walls. It is to be built using the latest in technology in framework and trusses from Stoddarts, which ensures ease of construction.

Mr Richardson said while ASK Homes could arrange everything necessary to build a home from start to finish, the owners can contribute as much or as little as they wish. "We can arrange for surveyors, engineers, architects, even licensed builders - as much or as little as the client wants," he said. "We encourage the client to be involved as much as they are comfortable with, and it also provides a chance for friends and /or family with a trade to get involved, and themore they do themselves, the more they save.
